The Fujifilm X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor has a highly random pixel ordering layout, and thereby effectively reduces moiré and false colours even without using an optical low-pass filter. By eliminating the low-pass filter which causes deterioration in the image resolution, the FUJINON lenses performances can be maximised. The enhanced image processing technology of the new sensor performs efficiently to effectively reduce digital noise. Additionally, the X-Processor Pro imaging processor used in the Fujifilm X-T20 can handle up to 4 times faster processing than previous models. And as such, this significantly reduces the intervals when taking pictures and increases the accuracy of the autofocus.

Electronic viewfinder and hinged LCD display

The Fujifilm X-T20 is equipped with an electronic viewfinder with an organic EL panel that supports a resolution of 2.36 million pixels. Thanks to the four dedicated lenses that deliver a distinctive high-definition image, you won't have any problem with visibility even on a very bright and sunny day. Additionally, the electronic viewfinder also operates very smoothly at 54.54fps with a delay of the order of 0.005sec. In addition to the electronic viewfinder, the Fujifilm X-T20 is equipped with a 3.0" hinged touchscreen TFT LCD colour display with a resolution of 1.04 million pixels.

Sophisticated autofocus even for moving objects

The AF algorithm has undergone major innovations. The number of focus points has been increased from 49 for the previous model to the current 91. About 40% of the image area is covered by the pixels for AF with phase detection, making up the area for fast and accurate phase detection in different scenes. The contrast AF system loading rate, which covers approximately 85% of the image, is now twice that of the previous model to allow for faster and more accurate autofocus. And when shooting a movie, the AF point moves smoothly to track the moving subject or objects.
